What is MAANG?

                     Meta, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google (MAANG) are some of the Biggest technical companies in the world. Some people extend this set to include other large companies, 

such as Microsoft. Basically the 5 tech companies of MAANG are as given below:

    META:

Meta Platforms, doing business as Meta and formerly named Facebook, and The Facebook is an American multinational technology conglomerate based in Menlo Park, California. The company owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among other products and services. Meta is one of the world's most valuable companies. In October 2021, 

the parent company of Facebook changed its name from Facebook,  to Meta Platforms, to "reflect its focus on building the metaverse". According to Meta, the "metaverse"

 refers to the integrated environment that links all of the company's products and services.

      APPLE:

Apple is an American multinational technology company specializing in consumer electronics, software and online services headquartered in Cupertino, California, United States. 

Apple is the largest technology company by revenue also, is the world's biggest company by market capitalization, and second-largest mobile phone manufacturer.As the market 

for personal computers expanded and evolved throughout the 1990s, Apple lost considerable market share to the lower-priced duopoly of the Microsoft Windows operating system 

on Intel-powered PC clones (also known as "Wintel"). 

Over the next decade,  Apple came back to profitability through a number of tactics including introducing the iMac, iPod, iPhone and iPad to critical acclaim, launching 

"Think different" and other memorable advertising campaigns, opening the Apple Store retail chain, and acquiring numerous companies to broaden the company's product portfolio.

    AMAZON:

Amazon,  is an American multinational technology company focusing on e-commerce, cloud computing, online advertising, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. It has

 been referred to as "one of the most influential economic and cultural forces in the world",and is one of the world's most valuable brands.Amazon also distributes a variety

 of downloadable and streaming content through its Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Twitch, and Audible units. It publishes books through its publishing arm, Amazon Publishing,

 film and television content through Amazon Studios. It also produces consumer electronics—most notably, Kindle e-readers, Echo devices, Fire tablets, and Fire TVs.

      NETFLIX:

 Netflix, is an American subscription streaming service and production company based in Los Gatos, California. Founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in Scotts Valley,

 California, it offers a film and television series library through distribution deals as well as its own productions, known as Netflix Originals.Netflix can be accessed via web 

browsers or via application software installed on smart TVs, set-top boxes connected to televisions, tablet computers, smartphones, digital media players, Blu-ray players, video

 game consoles and virtual reality headsets on the list of Netflix compatible devices

          GOOGLE:

Google is an American multinational technology company focusing on search engine technology, online advertising, cloud computing, computer software, quantum computing, e-commerce, 

artificial intelligence, and consumer electronics. It has been referred to as the "most powerful company in the world" and one of the world's most valuable brands due to its market

 dominance, data collection, and technological advantages in the area of artificial intelligence.The company has since rapidly grown to offer a multitude of products and services

 beyond Google Search, many of which hold dominant market positions. These products address a wide range of use cases, including email (Gmail), navigation (Waze & Maps), 

cloud computing (Cloud), web browsing (Chrome), video sharing (YouTube), productivity (Workspace), operating systems (Android), cloud storage (Drive), language translation (Translate), 

photo storage (Photos), video calling (Meet), smart home (Nest), smartphones (Pixel), wearable technology (Pixel Watch & Fitbit), music streaming (YouTube Music), video on demand

 (YouTube TV), artificial intelligence (Google Assistant), etc.

How to get a job at MAANG?

1. Harness your soft skills -

• Start with harnessing the soft skills required to be taken in by a MAANG company.
• These include ability to think out of the box, problem-solving skills, expertise in solving algorithms and data structures, teamwork, coding competition expertise, contribution in open source projects, brainstorming, ability to improve solutions, grasp information quickly.

 2.Read the job description carefully -

Check all the job requirements and details thoroughly. This will give you an exact idea of what the company is looking for and help you showcase your education, experiences, and projects

 in the best possible way during the interview. It will also help you to align your accomplishments, qualification, and skills in the resume with the job description. MAANG companies stick

 to job descriptions and dismiss the candidate who doesn’t seem to fit.

3.Research about the company-

Talk to your friends, past co-workers, and batchmates who are already work there. Keep an eye on the latest news about these companies. Try to get a grasp of companies' vision, mission, and values.

 The efforts that you take to collect information and discover company-specific details, will definitely    reflect on your interview.

 4. Resume revamp-

Hiring managers at MAANG receive and read hundreds of resumes every day. So it's very important that your resume looks attractive and catches the sight of employers at first glance.

 5.Search the hiring manager on social media-

If you already know the name and basic details of your interviewer and hiring manager, then searching them platforms such as Twitter, Facebook will help you get an edge in the interview.

 6: Practice most common interview questions
