ChatGPT vs Google!
Recently, almost
we all have heard lot about ChatGPT, so I thought we should look at it.
Throughout this blog, I will discuss the following topics.

What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a
cutting-edge language model created by Open AI. ChatGPT (Generative Pre-trained
Transformer) is a chatbot launched by Open AI in November 2022. It is built on
top of Open Ai’s GPT-3 family of large language models and is fine-tuned (an
approach to transfer learning) with supervised and reinforcement learning
techniques. It is a deep learning model trained on a large amount of text to
understand human language and respond coherently in real-time. It acquired 1
million users in just five days. ChatGPT is trained on 175 billion parameters ,
300 billion words, and 570 GB data which enables it to understand natural human
language.
How Does ChatGPT Work?
The GPT 3.5
language model was created by Open AI using web content and other publicly
available sources. It then built ChatGPT using supervised machine-learning
techniques. Human trainers acted as both the user and the AI agent, generating
a wide range of responses to any given input and then evaluating and ranking them
from best to worst. This information was used to develop a reward model.
Proximal Policy
Optimization (PPO) is an Open AI reinforcement learning algorithm that uses a
technique like Stochastic Gradient Descent and fine-tuned results. As a result,
the NLP framework performed exceptionally well while requiring less
computational power.
The training
process was handled by Open AI using the Azure AI supercomputer infrastructure.
It finished the job in late 2021. ChatGPT uses a stateful approach, which means
it can use previous inputs from the same session to produce far more accurate
and contextually relevant results. It includes a moderation filter that filters
out racist, sexist, biased, illegal, and offensive content.
ChatGPT vs Google’s Bard
On the surface ,
ChatGPT and Google appear to serve the same purpose-answer user’s queries but
both have different approaches.
But recently, on 7
February 2023 Google has finally
launched its AI technology Bard.
Bard is Google’s
artificial intelligence chatbot. It will work exactly like ChatGPT, that is,
users will be able to use the chatbot through conversation. The new chatbot is
based on Google’s Language Model for Dialogue Application (Language Model for
Dialogue Application or LaMDA). According to the company, it is a lite-version
of LaMDA. According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Bard has just been introduced
on a testing basis for only a few users. However, very soon Bard will be
offered for public use as well.
